🍂⚽ ANOTHER FALL SEASON IS UPON US…

And once again, it’s incredible to see so many of our Huntington Inter FC players representing their respective high schools across Long Island.

To see our 7th and 8th graders competing at the JV and Varsity level is a tremendous accomplishment. It speaks to their talent, but even more importantly, to the countless hours of work, sacrifice, discipline, and perseverance that brought them to this point.

This year, we’re also proud to have one of the biggest graduating classes in our club’s history. From Nassau County to Suffolk County, from public schools to private schools, Inter FC is represented throughout Long Island.

That means something to us.

We’ve always believed in creating a program where talent has the opportunity to shine—not politics. A place where coaches are trusted to coach, players are challenged to compete, and positions and opportunities are earned through hard work, commitment, performance, and perseverance.

We believe in the year-round player.

The player who dedicates themselves to the grind. The player who understands that when one season ends, the work doesn’t stop. For them, the “offseason” is simply another opportunity to refine their technique, strengthen their weaknesses, study the game, and prepare for the next challenge.

Because development doesn’t happen overnight.

It happens during the extra training sessions. The difficult practices. The setbacks. The early mornings and late nights. It happens when nobody is watching and there’s no trophy being handed out.

And eventually, the work speaks for itself.

As we watch our players put on their school jerseys this fall, we’re reminded that Huntington Inter FC has always been about preparing young players for the next level—on the field and beyond it.

Different schools. Different jerseys. Different communities.

But the same foundation.

PASSION. PRIDE. PERSEVERANCE.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Pilar Moya for recognizing and supporting the work we have dedicated to our community through Huntington Inter Fútbol Club. For more than ten years, our mission has been simple: to ensure that every child has the opportunity to play, grow, and belong, regardless of their financial circumstances.

Through our cost-free soccer programs and scholarship opportunities, we have been able to provide thousands of children and families throughout the Town of Huntington with access to the beautiful game while creating an environment built on community, inclusion, and opportunity.

Being recognized by Pilar Moya, alongside Governor Kathy Hochul at Stony Brook University, was an incredible honor. Receiving tickets to the FIFA World Cup was more than a generous gift—it was a meaningful acknowledgment of the power that sports can have in bringing people together and changing lives.

I am deeply appreciative of Pilar Moya’s support and belief in the work we do. Recognition like this inspires us to continue serving our community with the same passion and commitment that has guided Huntington Inter Fútbol Club for the past decade. Together, we can continue creating opportunities, building stronger communities, and ensuring that every child has a place to play, dream, and succeed.

What an unforgettable night for our ladies!

A heartfelt thank you to @gothamfc for welcoming our players and allowing them to be part of such a historic, record-breaking evening. The experience, the atmosphere, and the opportunity to witness the growth of the women’s game at the highest level is something they’ll never forget.

We are incredibly proud and honored to coach and represent this amazing group of young women. Our Stars 12 ladies capped off an unforgettable season, finishing league play undefeated and showing resilience, character, and determination every step of the way. Their hard work and commitment were rewarded with a thrilling Champions Cup victory, winning in a dramatic penalty shootout.

Founded in 2013, Huntington Inter FC provides custom skill-development programs for emerging young soccer players in Long Island, NY. The club is run by Jose Alfaro, a fully-certified soccer coach with over 15 years’ experience working with 5-18-year olds.

Huntington Inter FC's unique development program, the “New School of Soccer”, cultivates well-rounded players who are trained both as individuals and as members of a team. Alfaro prides himself on a holistic coaching approach, encompassing the soccer skills and personal character development necessary for a successful athlete. With Huntington’s skill-development continuum, young soccer players follow an established pipeline for improvement, seeing continuous tangible results from day one.
